Netflix embarked on a strategic campaign to amplify the buzz surrounding "Netflix Is A Joke Fest." Collaborating with Dwyane Wade, When We Gather and Wade Cellars, Netflix aimed to host a pre-reception dinner that not only celebrated the festival but also showcased its commitment to unique and immersive experiences. By entrusting Nottingham Agency, Netflix sought to craft an evening of unparalleled allure, setting the stage for an unforgettable festival experience while engaging high-profile guests and influencers.
Challenge
The event required a space that was both intimate and engaging, one that would reflect the Dwyane Wade brand and the excitement of the festival. Nottingham’s task was to convert a designated area into a unique environment that would capture the rustic elegance of a vineyard and showcase the Wade Cellar wine pairings.
Solution
The Miracle Theater in Inglewood was the carefully chosen location for the evening, transformed in grand style. The 3000 square feet of space was turned into a breathtaking vision, with pepperberry ceiling foliage and crystal chandeliers, and the floor was covered in artificial grass to create the illusion of a vineyard. A 12-foot wine barrel installation and a haystack bar added to the rustic charm, providing focal points for guests to gather and enjoy Wade Cellars' offerings.
To further enhance the experience, Nottingham set up an on-site portrait studio with the esteemed photographer Dalvin Adams, allowing guests to capture memorable moments of the evening. Chef Alisa Reynolds of My 2 Cents crafted a sumptuous four-course meal that delighted the palate and complemented the wine selections. In the backyard, Jeeter, a luxury cannabis brand, provided custom pre-rolls to enhance the mood before the live comedy show, curated by Dwyane Wade with special guest comedians Lil Rel, Deon Cole, Janelle James, and more.
Outcome
The pre-reception dinner was a huge success, exceeding all expectations. Notable guests including Gabrielle Union, Zaya Wade, Lauren London, Matt Barnes, Rocsi Diaz, DeRay Davis and more were in attendance and raved about the incredible ambiance, attention to detail and overall experience. The dinner was a great way to showcase Dwyane Wade in a positive light and to give guests more information about Wade Cellars and Netflix Is A Joke Fest. Nottingham’s creativity and attention to detail resulted in an event that will be remembered by all who attended.
